The Role:
NetCents is in search of a self-directed staff accountant who can work on all financial and accounting activities. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will have an opportunity to grow and take on additional responsibilities within Finance. The role is suitable for an Accounting Professional that has hands on experience with full cycle accounting, month end and year end reporting, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, audit process, exchange, and taxes. 

Responsibilities:
  • Executes day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business 
  • Prepares and processes payroll including remittances and filing of year end T4
  • Maintain chart of accounts and the general ledger
  • Work directly with vendors, clients and banks 
  • A/P and A/R and general accounting issues
  • Ensures accurate and timely payments to merchants
  • Preparation of cash flow analysis
  • Preparation of reconciliations such as bank reconciliations in different currencies
  • Reconcile reports from various payment processors to our systems and banks
  • Provide audit support
  • Ability to file and provide administrative support 
  • Provide support for all projects related to accounting and finance functions and objectives

We'll be reaching out to applicants who have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • 3-5 years of full cycle accounting experience
  • Required Software knowledge of Quickbooks and Xero 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLookups, Pivot tables etc.)
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations
  • High degree of professionalism, active listening, self driven, ability to work independently and proactive account monitoring
  • Ability to use analytical thinking to solve problems
